Battle of the AI Directors: Sora vs. Pika

The AI video generation space is getting spicier and spicier.

With Sora debuting late last year and other players like HeyGen and Synthesia joining the race, there’s no shortage of tools to explore.

We recently tested Pika and pitted it head-to-head against Sora. Here’s the standout difference: Pika offers 150 monthly video credits for free (about 10 videos), giving you access to a pretty advanced model without a paywall. In contrast, Sora requires a premium ChatGPT subscription.

We’ve already covered how to use Sora, but if you’re ready to give Pika a spin, here’s how to get started:

  1. Navigate to Pika, sign up or log in.

  2. In the text box, describe the scene or concept you want to animate. Be clear and concise to guide the AI effectively.

  3. Hit Create to generate the video.

  4. Preview and download your masterpiece!

Which one’s better? You make the call.

Declutter Your AI Life with ChatGPT Projects

Managing your chats in ChatGPT is finally easy.

OpenAI rolled out Projects in ChatGPT—a feature designed to help users organize and manage their work.

With Projects, you can now group related files, conversations, and instructions into dedicated spaces to create more efficient workflows.

For example, this can be really useful for:

Research Compilation

Client Management

Marketing Campaign Organization

I took a deeper dive into how to set it up, upload files, and ultimately start chatting within the project. To do so yourself:

  1. Jump onto ChatGPT and go to the left sidebar.

  2. You will see a little menu for Projects, click the + icon to create a new project.

  3. Pick out a project name and upload any relevant files.

  4. Chat away!

On our last poll about favorite ChatGPT tooling, looks like most of you use Search quite a lot.

No surprise there – turns out having an AI that can both search AND explain why that Stack Overflow answer from 2012 actually works is pretty handy.
