Google Turns Search Into Your Podcast
Google just dropped Audio Overviews into search results, and it's about as wild as it sounds.
The company is testing AI-generated podcast-style discussions that answer your search queries using two enthusiastic AI hosts. The feature works exactly like you'd expect from a company that gave us NotebookLM's viral podcast feature…
What's rolling out:
Audio Overviews appear as a "Generate Audio Overview" button beneath the "People also ask" section on mobile search results.
The feature takes up to 40 seconds to generate and includes playback controls for speed adjustment and pausing.
It’s currently available only in English in the US through Google's Search Labs experimental program.
So What?
Google is betting that audio will become a major interface for information consumption, and they're probably right.
This move by Google may signal a future where your search results might sound more like your favorite podcast than a list of blue links. Plus, with most people already consuming audio content during commutes and workouts, this could make information even more accessible.

How to Integrate Tavily’s MCP Server for Real Time Search

Want to give Claude extended, real-time web search capabilities?
The Tavily MCP (Model Context Protocol) server lets you connect Claude Desktop to live web data, transforming it from a knowledge-cutoff assistant into a research powerhouse.
Here's how to set it up:
Install Claude Desktop if you haven’t already.
Get your Tavily API key (1000 free uses a month). Sign up at tavily.com and grab your API key from the dashboard. You'll need this for authentication.
Configure the MCP Server in Claude. Open Claude Desktop, go to Claude → Settings → Developer, and click Edit Config. In the config file (
claude_desktop_config.json
), add the following snippet and drop in your API key:
{
"mcpServers": {
"tavily-mcp": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "[email protected]"],
"env": {
"TAVILY_API_KEY": "your-api-key-here"
}
}
}
}
Close and reopen Claude Desktop. You should now see Tavily search capabilities available in your conversations!
🔥 Pro Tip: Test your setup by asking Claude to search for recent news or current events. The integration will automatically trigger web searches when Claude needs up-to-date information. You'll also get access to powerful capabilities like extracting content from specific URLs, crawling entire websites for comprehensive data gathering, and mapping site structures for research projects!

Meta’s V-JEPA 2 Could Change How AI Understands Reality
Meta just unveiled V-JEPA 2, a 1.2 billion-parameter world model that's rewriting the rules of how AI systems understand and predict the physical world.
Think of it as giving AI the same intuitive physics understanding that lets you catch a ball or navigate a crowded room. Hold your horses though, this isn't just another language model. It's an intelligent system trained on over 1 million hours of video that can actually understand how objects move, interact, and behave in real environments.
What makes it more exciting than just language models:
V-JEPA 2 achieves state-of-the-art performance on video understanding while requiring only 62 hours of robot data for zero-shot planning capabilities.
The model demonstrates 65-80% success rates for pick-and-place tasks with new objects in unseen environments.
Meta released three new benchmarks (IntPhys 2, MVPBench, and CausalVQA) that reveal a significant gap between human and AI performance in physical reasoning.
In tests, the system tracked multiple objects across complex scenarios, evaluated task completion, and understood spatial relationships, essentially giving AI the same intuitive physics understanding humans develop as children:

So What?
Meta is positioning itself for the next phase of AI development where models don't just process text but actually understand and interact with the physical world.
This could be Meta's secret weapon in the AI race. While others chase better chatbots, they're building AI that understands reality itself. Google DeepMind is also in this race with their Genie models for world simulation, but Meta's (potentially) open-source approach gives them a significant advantage in community adoption and developer engagement.
