Musk Drops āScary Smartā AI, Grok 3
Elon Musk isnāt holding back.
Grok 3, the latest AI model from xAI, was announced on X yesterday and Musk is already calling it the āsmartest AI on Earth.ā
Whether thatās marketing hype or a real leap forward, weāre about to find out.
Whatās making Grok 3 stand out:
Itās trained on 200,000 GPUs, giving it 10x the muscle of Grok 2 at an āorder aboveā the previous version.
Unlike its predecessors (or most LLMs today), Grok 3 is trained on AI-generated datasets designed to simulate real-world scenarios, supposedly reducing bias and improving accuracy.
Grok models have been known for allowing more controversial topics and figures in promptsāunlike OpenAI and Anthropic. Looks like that trend will continue with Grok 3.
According to xAI, Grok 3 beats GPT-4o on several benchmarks, including PhD-level physics and biology questions. The model will begin rolling out on Monday.
So What?
Musk is making big claims, and it looks like Grok 3 is proving itself against OpenAI, DeepSeek, and other major players.
Grok 3's pricing is bold: X Premium+ users ($40/month) get early access, while others can opt for the new "SuperGrok" plan. At a rumored $30/month (or $300/year), it includes all the bells and whistles ā better reasoning, DeepSearch, and endless image generation.
Once we get access, weāll be giving our take too!

So Deep Research is definitely a trend thatās here to stay. Google came out with this first, and weāve seen OpenAI follow suit. Last week Perplexity released its own version of the capability that can deliver detailed analyses in minutes.
I gave it a spin myselfā¦ and itās very detailed and extremely efficient.
Hereās how you can use it yourself:
Navigate to Perplexity.
