China’s Newest Autonomous Agent Made Your Todo List Obsolete
China is making waves in AI—again. This time, it’s Manus AI, an autonomous agent that executes complex, multi-step tasks on its own.
Think Deep Research meets OpenAI’s Operator, but built to take real-world actions without you babysitting it…
What is going on in China??
Things are getting crazy, Manus can book flights, generate reports, review resumes, and more (all by itself).
Unlike traditional AI tools, Manus operates asynchronously, allowing you to assign tasks and walk away while it completes them autonomously. It also distributes workloads across multiple machines.
Early tests suggest it outperforms OpenAI’s Deep Research agent, making it one of the most powerful AI agents available today.
Manus runs on Claude 3.5 Sonnet and fine-tuned versions of Alibaba’s Qwen models, with plans to upgrade to Claude 3.7 soon.
So What?
Manus AI is generating massive hype, but access is highly restricted due to server shortages—invite codes are already being resold in China. While some see it as a groundbreaking leap toward AGI, others wonder if it’s just another influencer-optimized AI product.
With an open-source release planned for later this year, the big question remains: is this seriously DeepSeek v2?

Build an AI Agent For Your Calendar

My agent going to work…
n8n is a powerful workflow automation tool like Zapier and Make—but with one big advantage: you can create context-aware AI agents without writing code.
Here’s how to build an AI agent that can manage your Google Calendar automatically:
Go to n8n.io, start a free trial (note: it’s a paid tool).
Create a new workspace. In your n8n dashboard, click AI Agent in the top-right corner.
Connect the components (authenticate as needed):
Hook up your favorite chat model (Claude, GPT, etc.).
Add Window Buffer Memory for context awareness.
Add Google Calendar or any other calendar client to the tools section.
Chat with your agent to get things done!
🔥 Pro Tip: Customize the Google Calendar integration to let your AI agent schedule, modify, and retrieve events on demand!

AI That Predicts Dementia Before Symptoms Begin
Researchers at Mass General Brigham have developed an AI-powered tool that can detect subtle brain wave changes years before cognitive decline becomes noticeable—offering a critical window for early intervention.
How It Works
AI analyzes sleep data – The system scans EEG recordings taken during sleep, identifying tiny shifts in gamma wave activity that signal early cognitive decline.
Tested on real patients – Researchers tracked 281 older women for five years, discovering that 85% of those who later developed cognitive impairment had detectable brainwave changes early on.
Backed by cutting-edge research – The study suggests that wearable EEG devices could one day help identify high-risk individuals for earlier treatment.
So What?
With 1 in 10 adults over 65 diagnosed with dementia, early detection could be life-changing. People at risk would have time to adjust their lifestyle, start medication early, or even undergo brain stimulation therapy to slow the disease.
Mass General’s researchers are now exploring whether electrical stimulation could actively alter brain activity—potentially reducing dementia risk. If successful, this research could pave the way for AI-powered prevention strategies.
As lead researcher Dr. Shahab Haghayegh puts it: “This could completely change how we approach dementia prevention.”
